Discover Mallorca’s countryside
Come and stay during our designated country activity times (see Calendar). Outside of our tutored courses are periods that are available to come and just relax into the rural lifestyle in the sun. Listed below are some of the many activities that make holidaying in Mallorca so special.

Painting
Become inspired by the wonderful climate and sweeping landscapes of Mallorca – they’re perfect for all types of painting. Sling your watercolours, oils or pastels in your backpack and head off into the countryside.

Walking
An all-year-round climate enables enjoyable walking in the diverse and fragrant countryside and mountains of Mallorca. The Centro Rural Sineu is surrounded almost endless quiet lanes and country tracks, with villages and settlements providing bars and restaurants on your route. Alternatively, take the train or bus to explore further afield. We can supply you with maps and recommended routes, or organise walks with an experienced guide.
Cycling
Within a fifteen mile radius (see Cycling map) of the Centro Rural Sineu are literally hundreds of miles of well-maintained quiet lanes and byways through cultivated countryside and woodland. You can cycle through the fragrant air on easily navigable tracks lined with colourful Mediterranean flowers, trees and plants.
Bring your own bicycle, or we can hire you one of our excellent range of bikes and supply you with suggested routes for all levels of expertise. The Mallorcan Tourist Board has designated over 250 Kms of well signposted routes around the picturesque centre of the island.
The countryside surrounding the Centro Rural Sineu is gently undulating with wonderful sweeping vistas, and quiet unspoilt beaches are less than 12 miles away. You can take your bicycle free on most trains from Sineu, which opens up large areas of the island to cycling.
Bird Watching
Mallorca is an essential destination for observers of migratory birds. S’Albufera, a natural wetland area, is about 10 miles from The Centro Rural Sineu and with its information centre and guided tours caters for all levels of birdwatcher - over 200 species of birds have made this area their permanent home. Also travel to the mountains at Lluc for the black vultures, and the salt flats at Es Trenc, or Son Serra and Sant Jordi, for their unique natural habitats. (see Bird Watching map).
Horse Riding
In the immediate vicinity of the Centro Rural Sineu we can arrange for cross-country riding or even riding lessons.
Exploring
Pick up a car at the airport, and the Centro Rural Sineu makes the ideal base for exploring all parts of the island. Connected by fast roads to the motorway network means most parts of Mallorca are less than an hour away. Drive the dramatic mountain roads or the winding country lanes, and discover what makes Mallorca such a special and magical place. Over three thousand years of history can be found within less than half-an-hour’s drive from the Centro Rural Sineu, from Moorish castles to Roman amphitheatres, Kings’ palaces to pre-historic settlements and ancient olive groves to state-of-the-art wineries.
A car gives you the chance to visit outlying islands and dozens of different out-of-the-way beaches. Add to that fishing, hunting, sailing, snorkelling, caving or even taking in a bit of culture or a game of golf, everyday can be filled with different and challenging things to do.
Party Time
The Centro Rural Sineu is an ideal venue for a special occasion. Seven double rooms each with en-suite, and all communal areas and outdoor patio garden are at your disposal to arrange your own activity or party.
